Prior to joining the McKinney Ice Hockey Club, Michael was an assistant coach for the Chaska Hawks Junior Varsity team in Minnesota.  Michael also helped run conditioning and training for the varsity and JV squads.  In addition, Michael has been an instructor in beginner clinics in Wisconsin. 

Playing experience:

Michael started playing hockey in Boston at the age of 4.  His family relocated to Dallas in 1993, the same year the Stars came from Minnesota.  In addition to playing on the inaugural McKinney high school team, Michael played on travel teams for all of his youth career and was part of the USA Hockey Rocky Mountain District Select festival team at age 15.  When he turned 16, Michael moved away from home to live with a host family in Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan, to play for their Midget AAA team in the Great Lakes Hockey League.  The following year he returned to Dallas to play Midget AAA for the Dallas Metro squad. After high school Michael went to Lawrence University to play NCAA Division 3 in the MCHA.  He set the all-time record for career goals which has since been broken, and currently has the third most points in school history. 


Current Employment:

Michael works for Wells Fargo in the Wealth Management group doing strategy consulting and financial analysis.  This is his 9th year with the company.
