I grew up in St. Paul Minnesota and been around sports my whole life.  I played baseball, football and hockey in high school and was All-State in both Football and Hockey.  I played high School Hockey for Hill-Murray Pioneers. I was a finalist for Mr. Hockey my senior year in high school, which is awarded to the top high school hockey player in Minnesota.  I then went on to the USHL junior A league and played for the Omaha Lancers.  In Omaha we won the Clark Cup Championship and I was awarded the Clark Cup MVP.  I signed with Minnesota State Mavericks (DIV 1) of the  WCHA.  I played 4 years of college hockey and then signed with New Mexico Scorpions of the CHL.  I played for 2 years in the CHL.  I continued my involvement in hockey by running camps during the summer.

I now live in McKinney with my family. I am the manager at Hockey Ambitions Training Center and own a fencing company.  This will be my third year coaching with McKinney.  In 2011-12, I coached the Lightning PeeWee AA team, which finished second in the NTXHL and was the only DFW team in the league finals.  The team won three tournaments.  I also coached the Lightning Squirt team, which tied for most points in the regular season and advanced to the semi-final round of hte playoffs.  The team won one championship and finished second in two tournaments.  In 2010-11, I coached the McKinney Squirt team, worked various hockey clinics and provided private and group lessons to all age groups.

There is nothing better than the game of hockey!  I keep this in mind by adjusting my coaching style to fit the personality of the player and by striving to get the most out of each player while keeping the game fun.
